We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Meat Manager to oversee the daily operations of our meat department. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of food handling, meat cutting, and food safety standards. This role involves managing inventory, ensuring product quality, and providing exceptional customer service to meet the needs of our customers. The Meat Manager will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient department that adheres to all safety and health regulations.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all activities within the meat department, including meat cutting, packaging, and display setup.
Ensure all food production and preparation processes meet food safety standards and comply with health regulations.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor stock rotation to minimize waste.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selection and answering inquiries about meat cuts and preparation.
Train and supervise staff on proper food handling techniques, knife skills, and safety procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the department according to industry standards.
Oversee quality control to ensure all products meet company specifications and customer expectations.
Implement merchandising strategies to promote sales and maximize department profitability.
Qualifications

Proven experience in food production, food preparation, or kitchen management within the food industry or restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of meat cutting, packaging, and culinary techniques.
Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various meat cuts.
Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures.
Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role in a retail or restaurant setting is preferred.
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Culinary experience or background in the food industry is highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic team within a reputable organization dedicated to quality products and excellent service.
